Miyajima's "Floating" Torii "Gate"

Miyajima's "Floating" Torii "Gate"

One of Japan's three most scenic views is the Torii, the sea entrance to the Itsukushima Shrine built in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 1800s. At low tide, it's possible to walk up to it. When the tide is in, it appears to float.
